About the Fire Wire: The Kentucky Fire Wire was originally developed by Tim Whalin in 1999.
MELANIE HILLIARD is the current webmaster and has been active in Fire, EMS and Haz-Mat responses for over 15 years serving as a volunteer in Henry County on the Campbellsburg Fire Department. Melanie also spends her days training with Kentucky Search and Rescue and is the chief officer for the team.
Melanie is part owner of HELP LLC a firefighter owned and operated business that sells firefighter training materials.
The purpose of this site is to act as an avenue for communication throughout the Kentucky fire services. The Internet provides us with a fast and easy way to speak to other Kentucky fire personnel. This site relies on information provided by Kentucky fire service people like you and is just for Kentucky fire/EMS people - It's for Kentucky firefighters, by Kentucky firefighters.
For over 10 years, the KYFireWire has provided training, education, and management information for fire and emergency services personnel of Kentucky.
